I love Palm Beach, Florida. It is my “happy place.” My husband and I first went in 2009, and I completely fell in love…again.
But I couldn’t stay, because the corporate powers that be were calling.
And while I enjoyed my profession, I did not enjoy my restrictions.
Their proposal meetings and their technical approaches required my attention.
So I went back, but my mind never left, and my sunny part time home has taught me a few lessons since:
Life’s too short to be on a leash. Any leash.
Diversify your revenue streams, business or individual, so that you are never scared to chart a new path.
If someone pays you to do a job, someone else will likely pay you to do the same for them directly.
So I won the first contract. For myself.
Then I did it again. For someone else.
Now I teach others how to compete and build revenue.
And my mind is perpetually at Palm Beach.
